And I thought Oppo might be interested. What we have here is a race preped, Cosworth powered classic Mini. The want is very strond indeed, too bad I don't have $17k to spend on a track toy.

It's a pretty impressive looking build. And yeah it's pretty awesome that they stuck with and improved upon the original suspension type.

You could always swap it out for a unit from a Spitfire, or Tornado if that's a hangup for you. Or just go with a more traditional shift knob.

Nahh, it has a joystick already. Now it must always have a joystick. Wiring for the lights is too cool to lose.

That was my thinking too, but there are those that might disagree....Not sure who, but there's always some fun hating curmudgeon out there that will say "that's stupid!" and generally not be any fun.

While I would be entirely ok with a V8 powered Mini, especially if they also converted it to RWD. Seeing such a thing done to this particular mini would be a travesty. You have to admit though, seeing a classic mini roll up with huge rear tires and a blower sticking out of the hood would be pretty awesome.
